Hi Everyone,

I’ve registered with the City 2 Surf for the 8th August and looking for people to join me or sponsor me! If you would like to join me there is only one group (left open) and that’s the Yellow Group. I am running/jogging for ADRA (Adventist Development Relief Agency) who are putting all money raised to ADRA Blacktown which is a free counselling service here in Sydney. They have an excellent service as they help hundreds of people find their way out of addictions and many other problem areas. How do I know this for sure? Well for three years I volunteered with them as a pastoral counselor and have seen first hand how God is using this service. It’s Awesome!!!

Thank you Sue for the welcome to the Chatswood SDA Church. I appreciated it so much! And to all the members for being so friendly!! 

As of January 1, Tim Shelton will be the official pastor for Chatswood Church although he will still be on annual leave until February 1. Tim graduated from Avondale College in 2005 with a Grad Dip (Theology) and has worked with Blacktown and Parramatta Adventist churches since then.

I first met Tim in 1996 and knowing something of his heart and soul, I am confident that he too will depend on God for His vision and strength and by God’s grace, God will be glorified in and through him. Wishing you well Tim!

All Saturday morning programs will continue over the Summer with the following exceptions:

December 26 – no Kids’ Club, Bible Study or Worship Service
January 2 – no Kids’  Club
January 9 – no Kids’ Club

Please note that there will be no Kids’ Club, Bible Study or Worship Service at our church premises this Saturday, March 14. If you would like to come on a church camp to Cundle Flat Farm with us, just let us know before Friday!

This Saturday being the first Saturday of our new church year, we will be rededicating our lives to God and serving Him during a special Worship Service. Please note that this service will replace our usual Testimony Day on the first Saturday of the month.

Too funny. Someone asked me to put the recipe for a salad dressing I made on our website. Given that it was created by one of my friend’s from Chatswood Church I guess it’s relevant I hope you like it!

Bec’s Salad Dressing
1/2 fresh lemon juiced
1/2 fresh orange or blood orange juiced
4-6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
cinnamon
sea salt
black pepper

Place all ingredients in a jar and shake together. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly.

Next weekend our church will be at Port Stephens for our annual Spiritual Retreat so there will be no Bible Study, Kids Club and Worship Service on location at the church premises on Saturday. Nearest Adventist churches include Wahroonga and Fox Valley to the north, Manly to the East, Woollahra to the South, and Ryde to the west. We apologise for any inconvenience.
